Idahoans Support George Bush - NOT!!

I thought I'd let you all know that even here in Idaho, home of the 59% approval rating for George Bush, support is waning.
Let's take this morning's edition of the Idaho Statesman for example. The Statesman (definitely NOT your typical "librul rag") asked for its readers to write letters to George (apparently for him to peruse while he is in Idaho next week as part of his daily reading in order to keep his finger on the pulse of the American people - yeah, right).
On the subject of Iraq, by my count, there are 22 letters which can be perceived as non-supportive of G.W's war, and only 5 which can be deemed as supportive of the Iraq war. Numerous additional letters are unsupportive of other administration policies.
This from the people of a state where G.W. has perhaps more support than in any other state in the country. The number of people who appeared at the vigil for Cindy Sheehan on the steps of the Idaho Statehouse in Boise on Tuesday night surprised me and brought tears to my eyes - as did the speech from a recently returned Iraqi vet.
Apparently George is a little concerned about his reception here in Boise tomorrow. Instead of spending any time at all in Idaho's state capital, he is immediately being whisked away to Donnelly where he is certain to receive a warm welcome from all of the Republican second home owners at the new ski area there. Additionally, instead of making an appearance in the capital city (potentially risking a huge protest turnout), he is holding a "rah-rah" rally in Nampa - a republican stronghold twenty miles west of Boise.
Let's keep up the pressure Kossacks. If criticism of Bush is happening here - in this most Republican of all states, we (along with like-minded people in other communities) are definitely making a difference. Thank you for all that you do, and please keep up your efforts
